This is very relevant and critical. Thank you for sharing this. The part you said that sometimes it feels like the world is behind where you need it to be, is very much been my thinking as of late.

You also talked a bit about community.a strange thing i have been observing is the more “progressive" the city you live in the more fragmented and at odds the LGBT community is. I have found that open minded cis people can also give you that feeling of community while still celebrating you special glimmer. So when I need a break from the in-fighting I have someone I look forward to spending time with and sharing my perspective. Not a replacement but diversification.
