I used to love the show Boston Legal. Why? Because that show was primarily about one thing. The love of two male friends. Two men who could share their hearts with each other, and be vulnerable.

I wanted this kind of friendship as a man my whole life. To this day I still have never had it. Now that I am in Transition to a woman I suppose one day I may find it with a woman, or even a man who feels more comfortable opening up to a woman.

I wish I could say that the growth of LGBTQ+ awareness might soften the blow of Homophobia in Cis Men, but I have a feeling its going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. Its no wonder Suicide rates are on the rise for white middle class males, they feel they cant form a true connection with anyone. And the lack of emotion they share with one another bleeds into their marriages as they feel they have to “Be The Man”.
