I love this topic. My wife from another life is moving out, and just yesterday I saw where she took down all the photos of her and the kids and left up the photos of me and the kids. I Stood there and puzzled. What so I do with these? Do I retouch them. Do I destroy them, do I leave them alone. I Hope that some people take your advise and do exactly what your described. One further i would love to see a forum where photos like these are shared so the art can be appreciated and celebrated. Since you did bring up my favorite tag line “everyone’s transition is different" I decided for myself to take them down but to keep them. In my own brain to change them is to deny the journey I have been on in life, deny the life I had. I dont want that. For me remembering who I was makes me appreciate who I have become so much more. Still I may retouch some for my own personal collection but what I display in my living room going forward is the memories the new me makes with my kids and whoever else comes along with me in my new life. Thank you for this story and an interesting topic
