I love this topic. My wife from another life is moving out, and just yesterday I saw where she took down all the photos of her and the kids and left up the photos of me and the kids. I Stood there and puzzled. What so I do with these? Do I retouch them. Do I destroy them, do I leave them alone. I Hope that some people take your advise and do exactly what your described. One further i would love to see a forum where photos like these are shared so the art can be appreciated and celebrated. Since you did bring up my favorite tag line “everyone’s transition is different" I decided for myself to take them down but to keep them. In my own brain to change them is to deny the journey I have been on in life, deny the life I had. I dont want that. For me remembering who I was makes me appreciate who I have become so much more. Still I may retouch some for my own personal collection but what I display in my living room going forward is the memories the new me makes with my kids and whoever else comes along with me in my new life.
