Here’s the dilemma. Christian rights are protected as they own the institutions. They are fighting hard for thier control. I See what corporate queer is doing they are taking a “some improvements is better then no improvements approach” This has merit, but really is pointless since we all know nothing is passing the senate with a fillabuster rule in place. Secular Schools also absolutely face discrimination issues in places like Pullman and Louisiana, and in places where protections are being actively stripped by state governments daily. Perhaps the argument though should not be to say we conceede the Christian schools but say “ we conceede as long as they agree not to take ANY federal funds" this includes loans and grants etc. They want autonomy that is the cost. Which we all know they won’t do, but it reminds them that they only have domain in areas that do not overlap the greater public interest. They wanna be a private school and not let queer kids in… fine, but they get none of the benefit of being a school in a public partnership.
